Xiaomi launched the flagship-level smartphone series Xiaomi Mi 11 and Redmi K40 earlier this year. Both the series featured powerful processors at aggressive pricing. Especially the camera of Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra was incredible. It even defeated other flagship smartphones in terms of cameras. Now, rumours regarding the camera specifications of the successors Xiaomi Mi 12 and Redmi K50 have been surfacing online.
Tipster Digital Chat Station leaked some key specifications about the Mi 12 and Redmi K40. According to the tipster, new models of Mi 12 and Redmi K50 have been filed online, including the L1C, L2C, L3AC, L10AC, and L11C. Moreover, the Xiaomi Mi 12 is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 processor. However, rumours also claim that the Redmi K50 will be available in two versions, one with Snapdragon 888 and the other with Snapdragon 898.
Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 12 Camera Specifications and features
XiaomiUI has announced that the Mi 12 series and Redmi K40 series will feature a 200MP front camera. Moreover, the rumours regarding about 200MP sensors had also been circulating for quite a few months. Furthermore, they also claim that the Xiaomi Mi 12, having the codename Zeus, will feature a 50MP ultra-wide lens as well as a 50MP periscope lens with 10x optical zoom. However, the Mi 12, having codename CUPID will have an ultra-wide sensor and a third macro sensor. Also, the details of the sensors are unknown at the moment. However, we can expect Samsung GN3 camera sensors in smartphones.
Both Mi 12 and Mi 12 ultra will be powered by the upcoming powerful processor Snapdragon 898 processor. Moreover, previous reports also claim that the Mi 12 series will feature the latest LPDDR5X RAM. It almost sends double data rates than the LPDDR4X RAM. However, none of the Qualcomm chipsets currently supports the LPDDR5X RAM. But it is quite obvious that the Snapdragon 898 will support it.
The Xiaomi Mi 12 series is expected to be unveiled in December this year. However, it can go on sale in early 2022. We’ll update you once more information regarding the smartphone is out.
