The Chinese company, Xiaomi, filed a patent for a new smartphone which could be the design of the upcoming flagship Xiaomi 12. The patent was filed on 25 September 2021. This information was released to the public on 15 October 2021.
Design for the flagship Xiaomi 12
The new Xiaomi smartphone has a new design with rounded corners and a curved display on the edges. The screen appears to be more curved than Xiaomi Mi 11 series. The narrow screen edges of the smartphone give a clean, sleek look with a small frame at the top and bottom. A single-hole punch camera in the upper left corner of the new smartphone works as a selfie camera.
Camera Design for the flagship Xiaomi 12
The new flagship smartphone comes with a curved screen and narrow bezels. If you look at the backside of the design, you will find the main camera. It is a humungous module of unknown resolution. A smaller-diameter camera is located just below the main camera. It could function as an ultra-wide-angle. We also see a rectangular periscope camera module. At the bottom of the module, you will find a LED flash. There is a rectangular periscope lens here as well.
Earlier leaks also suggest that the Xiaomi 12 series and Redmi K40 series feature a 200MP front camera. Moreover, according to the previous leak, Mi 12 will feature a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP periscope lens with 10x optical zoom.
The Chinese company, Xiaomi, is known to release a huge number of smartphone models every year. We know that the company has forsaken the brand in Mi names for new smartphones. With a goodbye to the ‘Mi’ name, we will witness the top-end model of Xiaomi Mi 11 launched under the name of Xiaomi 12. We might see a new smartphone come out of these renders.
