As you are moving through Fia and D’s questlines in Elden Ring, you’ll receive a letter from Rogier informing you that D, Hunter of the Dead, has a younger brother who is stuck in a deep beneath sleep. Here’s how to track him down and what you’ll need to rouse him.
Where to Find D’s Brother in Elden Ring?
You can find D’s twin brother, Darian, near the Valiant Gargoyles boss arena in Nokron, Eternal City, inside the Siofra Aqueduct in Elden Ring. The Valiant Gargoyles boss arena is at the Aqueduct-Facing Cliffs Site of Grace, northeast of the Ancestral Woods Site of Grace. Locate a cliff near the Site of Grace and descend to locate the boss combat arena.
How to kill D’s brother to get Armor in Elden Ring?
You can get D’s armor in one of two ways:
- By killing him when you first encounter him
- By causing Fia to murder him by handing D the Weathered Dagger.
D’s brother is asleep on a ledge near the arena; but, until you deliver him D’s armor. After handing D’s armor to his brother, you can proceed to Deeproot Depths, where you will encounter Fia and engage in a boss battle with her.
Allow her to hug you while she asks you to find the Cursemark of Death since you’ll need to fight her to begin finishing up her questline. This is earned during Renna/ Ranni’s questline when you can offer her the item, and she will fall asleep.
Now, you need to reset this area to allow her to send you into a dream state where you must slay the Lichdragon Fortissax. Defeating this monster will grant you the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince and return you to Deeproot Depths.
You can leave to reset the area, but when you return, D’s brother has killed Fia. If you did not assault him, you will be able to reclaim Fia’s and D’s armor, finishing her questline.
If you executed D’s brother to get the armor, you’d find out through his deathbed words that D’s actual name is Darian, as he begged his brother for forgiveness.
Once you’ve obtained the armor, you may proceed further in the game to complete other quests.
