Valorant New Agent Chamber: Trailer, Abilities, Release Date, and more

The last Act of Valorant Episode 3 begins next week, and it will add a fresh new Agent Chamber to the game. As is customary, developer Riot Games has begun leaking tidbits of information ahead of the release. We’ve produced another of our pieces summarising what we know about Valorant’s new Agent, previously dubbed as ‘Deadeye.’ This page contains a comprehensive list of all teasers, both in-game and on social media.

Valorant Agent Chamber Trailer

Chamber’s official trailer is now out, previously, he was teased during Valorant’s ‘Year One Anthem’ celebration video. He emerges about 3:22. However, we recommend slowing down to 0.25 so you don’t miss him. ‘Cynprel,’ the game’s loremaster, has also pointed out several concept sketches of the game’s seventeenth agent, which featured in the movie.

Chamber may also be seen in the Valorant Champions Tour LATAM Last Chance Qualifier promo on YouTube, which was created by Valorant Brazil. At 1:06, Chamber emerges in one of the shattered glass shards – albeit it appears that his design has been significantly altered, as we can see a gold collar chain loaded over his tie

Chamber, First French Agent

An earlier Valorant trailer was narrated by a man with a French accent. Based on what we know about Deadeye’s appearance and likely real name, he sounds like he could be French. So it’s no surprise that he’s sipping a cup of coffee that seems like it came from Europe, right? So, could Deadeye be Valorant’s first French agent?

Valorant Agent Chamber Abilities

With a name like ‘Chamber’ and a gun like that, it’s easy to envision the next agent being an Initiator like KAY/O. RiotMEMEMEME just stated that the upcoming agent would be a Sentinel in September 2021’s ‘State of the Agents’. In addition to mechanical outplays, RiotMEMEMEME said Deadeye’s kit will include “gunplay for an extra flourish.” We can guess from this.

The three diamond-shaped capsules on the side of Chamber’s gun in the Year One Anthem concept image may offer the answer. For our part, a triangulated perimeter seems enough. Rather than relying on traps to cope with close-range threats, Chamber’s rifle may be adjustable in some way, allowing him to utilize it from a distance. It’s also where we’d see more possibilities.

The new agent in Valorant, Chamber has the following abilities in the game:

  1. Tour de Force: ACTIVATE to summon a powerful, custom sniper rifle that will kill an enemy with any direct hit. Killing an enemy creates a lingering field that slows players caught inside of it.

2. Rendezvous: PLACE two teleport anchors. While on the ground and in range of an anchor, REACTIVATE to quickly teleport to the other anchor. Anchors can be picked up to be REDEPLOYED.

3. Headhunter: ACTIVATE to equip a heavy pistol. ALT FIRE with the pistol equipped to aim down sights.

4. Trademark: PLACE is a trap that scans for enemies. When a visible enemy comes in range, the trap counts down and then destabilizes the terrain around them, creating a lingering field that slows players caught inside of it.

Chamber Release Date

Chamber was meant to be released in conjunction with the start of Act 3 of Episode 3. Unfortunately, there has been a short delay as of today, Oct. 28. Deadeye’s release date has been pushed back by two weeks. Riot claimes the need for more time to ensure the game’s launch meets the developer’s high expectations. Deadeye will now be released on November 18th.
