V Rising Update: New Features, Fixes Bugs, and Balance Changes

In-game bugs are something that no one of us likes; the Constant launching of new updates is to fix these. Updates not just fix bugs but also add new features. The new update in V Rising will be fixing the in-game bugs, will add new features, and makes balance changes too. Let’s see the changes that the update will be making –

The Major Highlights of the New Update in V Rising

With the launch of the new update in V Rising, there are a total of twelve (12) exclusive changes coming in-game. The key points of the update are:

  • Server optimizations for servers with long up times and/or a lot of players
  • Optimized the map and minimap on servers with a lot of castles
  • Fixed an issue where Servants would be able to open doors of an enemy castle
  • The Blood Essence Drain Modifier setting should now work properly.
  • Fixed a bug where some types of lootable containers (Sarcophaguses, Book Shelves, Drawers, etc) could get stuck in a looted and hidden state, never to respawn
  • You can now incorporate Castle Hearts in specialized rooms to let grant floor bonuses to stations/structures within the room and can count as any floor type
  • Added a “Confine Cursor to Window” setting which will confine the Mouse Cursor to the window when in Minimized/Fullscreen Window mode
  • Fixation of some icon disappearing bug in the minimap
  • Updated the Social Panel: Now it displays all players connected to the server and their SteamID. We will also be able to text chat muting functionality, and muting is persistent between sessions now
  • Some players were using the social panel as an in-game radar, this won’t be possible anymore
  • Servants will now be summoned to their servant coffin if locked outside their own castle while not being in combat.
  • Fixation of an issue where some servants wouldn’t become available after completing a Hunt

Balance Changes

  • General: Damage during the cast time will no longer interrupt Vermin Salve
  • Scholar Blood: Reduction in bonus of Spell Power from 12%-25% to 10%-20%. And Free Cast reduced from 20% to 15%
  • Mounted Combat: Melee damage when mounted reduced by 30%
  • Increase in the healing of Veil of Blood from 5% to 6%
  • Unholy: Corpse Explosion: Damage increased to 140% from 125%; Fading snare duration increased to 1.5s from 1s, and cooldown reduced to 10 seconds from 12 seconds
  • Increase in damage of Unstable Mosquito from 60% to 70%
  • Veil of Bones: Initial projectile damage increased from 25% to 75%; Max Bounces reduced to 3, and each bounce now reduces the damage of the next bounce by 25%.
  • Spectral Wolf: The Damage increased from 100% to 125% and the cooldown also increased to 8 seconds
  • Mirror Strike: Reduction in Cast time from 1 second to 0.7 second
  • Chaos Barrier: Projectile Damage is reduced from 70% to 50%
  • Chaos Volley: Cooldown time increased and projectile damage reduced
  • Power Surge: Reduction in Shield Absorb to 120% from 150%
  • Veil of Chaos: Increase in the cooldown time and reduction in the illusion area
  • Reduction in the cast time of Merciless Charge to 0.7 seconds from 0.8 seconds
  • The projectile damage of Crystal Lance increased. Whereas, a reduction in the cast time, cooldown, and splinter damage of Crystal Lance
  • Reduction in cooldown of Ice Nova from 12 seconds to 10 seconds
  • Nova of frost damage reduced to 30% from 50%
  • Reduction in damage of Arctic Leap from 225% to 200%

Balance Changes with Respect to Weapons

  • Crossbow won’t be dealing with any lesser damage compared to that of Unholy, Blood,m or Veil of Frost
  • The damage per hit of a spear is reduced from 30% to 25%
  • Harpoon’s cast time is reduced and damage is increased
  • X-strike’s damage per hit reduced to 80% from 85%
  • Increase in Crushing Blow’s damage
  • Smack’s cooldown decreased
  • Reduction in Whirlwind’s damage per hit to 30%
  • Increase in Shockwave’s cast time. And damage per teleport strike got reduced
  • Elusive Strike’s damage per hit increased to 70% from 60%
  • Reduction in incapacitable duration of Camouflage
