Many of the players currently in the Back 4 Blood open beta are admirers of the critically acclaimed Left 4 Dead. They are already familiar with Left 4 Dead, split into chapters within smaller campaigns. And, they are expecting the same from Back 4 Blood as well. It’ll be interesting to see the number of Acts available in Back 4 Blood. Will there be more acts than in the Left 4 Dead? Let’s find out!
The content of Back 4 Blood is also split into Acts and further segmented into chapters. Talking about Acts, it’s a more broad and complex way to split up the content in a game. Whereas, Chapters are a much simpler version of the same concept. In Back 4 Blood both Acts and Chapters exist simultaneously.
Chapters offer a small piece of the overall campaign. Moreover, the Chapters in Back 4 Blood can be played solo or with teammates online. Totally, depending on the choice of player.
After the acts and chapters, the content of Back 4 Blood is further divided into various levels. Therefore, there are various levels in each chapter that a player gets to play. Each level is a small chunk of linear fights. After clearing a certain level a player then leads into the next area, much like Left 4 Dead in the past.
Length and Number of Acts in Back 4 Blood
Based on what we got to see for Act one in the beta of Back 4 Blood, each Act is incredibly long and has a lot to offer. The first chapter itself offers two chapters. Moreover, each chapter has four different levels to play. This all adds up to a total of eight playable levels in Act one.
On average, it would take a player around one hour to complete an entire Act. As players go on completing the first act after clearing the 8 levels, they are already hyped about the next act. Furthermore, It goes without saying every player is curious about the total number of acts in Back 4 Blood.
Unfortunately, as of now, there’s no confirmation on the total number of acts present in Back 4 Blood. With the game launching on October 12, players will get to know the answer a month from now. Irrespective of the acts, considering the 60$ price tag of the game, it is safe to assume the game will pack a few hours of unique content.
Moreover, If we were to guess we might get to see at least three Acts for players to get through, or even more. However, it is still a guess and we need to wait for another month for the exact numbers.
