Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Will Feature 45W Charging and 5000mAh Battery

Samsung is preparing for the launch of its new flagship series. This Galaxy S22 series is expected to launch in January 2022, similar to the launch of previous smartphones. However, according to the leaks by SamMobiles, the company is planning to launch the S21 FE in January 2022. Both the Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy S22 series are unlikely to be unveiled in January at around the same time. We can expect a month gap between both the launches. In recent times we have seen a lot of leaks surfacing on the internet about the S22 series. According to the recent leak, the Galaxy S22 will feature 45W fast charging and a 5000mAh battery next year.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Leaks

The tipster Ice Universe shared that the Galaxy S22 will feature a 5000mAh battery for the first time. The flagship S22 Ultra will support 45W charging and can charge 0 to 70% in just 35 minutes. However, the Samsung S22 and S22 Plus will only support 25W charging. Similar to this year, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will not come with a charger in the box.  Instead, customers will have to buy a Samsung charger separately or use a third-party charger capable of charging the Galaxy S22 Ultra at 45 W.

Earlier they also unveiled the photos of S22 Ultra screen protectors providing hints of the design. The top and bottom bezels of the S22 Ultra appear to be thicker than the left and right bezels. 

Furthermore, unlike the S21 Ultra, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will also feature a dedicated S-pen slot. Leaks claim that Galaxy S22 Ultra will come with a 120Hz AMOLED display and is expected to be powered with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 processor. However, earlier leaks also claim that the S22 series can be powered by the Exynos 2200 processor in a few countries. The device will run on One UI 4 which is based on Android 12.

In terms of the camera, the S22 Ultra is going to have a quad-camera setup at the back with a 108MP primary sensor.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Series Expected Launch Date

Samsung will launch three smartphones in the S22 series: Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. The Galaxy S22 will be launched in the first quarter of 2022. As mentioned above, due to the Galaxy S21 FE, the launch date of S22 is going to be delayed. However, we can expect the launch of the Galaxy S22 series either by the end of February 2022 or by the start of March 2022.
