Redmi K40 Gaming Edition Global Launch Soon, Spotted on Google Play Console

Redmi launched its first gaming smartphone-Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition, in China last month. This gaming smartphone is ready to debut in global markets as the smartphone has been spotted on the Google Play Console by the name Redmi K40 Gaming. The device is expected to be rebranded and come under the Poco brand in India. However, no official announcements have been made by the company. Here is what we know about the phone:

According to the Google Play console listing, the Redmi K40 will be powered with MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor. The device which was listed in the console has 8GB of RAM and is running on Android 11. Moreover, the listed smartphone has the same features as the phone launched in China.

However, since the smartphone has already been launched in China, we have more information about the phone.

The Redmi K40 Gaming will feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 480Hz touch Sampling rate. The display also offers HDR10+ support. The device will have up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of Storage.

The Redmi K40 Gaming will have a triple camera setup with a 64-MP primary sensor, 8-MP ultrawide, and 2-MP macro sensor. At the front, it will feature a 16-MP selfie camera. The device will have a 67W fast charging support and a 5,065mAh battery.

Additionally, the smartphone will also have some gaming-specific features like retractable shoulder keys, Dolby Atmos support, and three microphones. It will also feature LiquidCool technology to keep the phone cool while performing heavy tasks. The smartphone will have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It is also IP53-certified water and dust resistant.

Redmi K40 Gaming Edition: Poco F3 GT for India?

As per the leaks, the Redmi K40 gaming Edition can launch in India under the Poco branding. The smartphone is said to be named Poco F3 GT in India. The tipster(Kacper Skrzypek) tweeted that the Poco F3 GT has model number M2104K10I, which is the same as Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition. Earlier, various model numbers, including M2104K10AC, M2102K10C, and M2104K10C were listed in multiple benchmarking sites.

The model number of the upcoming Poco F3 GT is related to the one listed on benchmarking sites. However, there have been no official announcements by Xiaomi or Poco regarding this.

Redmi K40 Gaming Price in India(Expected)

The price for base variant 6GB+128GB is CNY 1,999, and for 8GB+128GB is CNY 2,199 in China. Therefore, the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition(Poco F3 GT) can be launched in India at a price between 27,000 Rs. to 30,000 Rs for the base variant. The phone can come in three color options(expected), namely white, silver and black.
