Valorant has finally answered the prayers of its player base and launched the Butterfly in the game. Butterfly Knife goes live in Valorant with the latest patch 3.04. The knife comes as part of the Recon Bundle. Here are the Recon Bundle’s Price, Variants, Release Date, and Photos
1. Recon Bundle Launched In Valorant
As there was no bundle launched with the previous patch 3.03, Valorant decided to bring back Sakura Bundle in the shop. Sakura Bundle was available for 4270VP as a bundle or 1275VP per skin separately. However, with the arrival of Patch 3.04, Recon Bundle is replacing the Sakura Bundle.
Recon Bundle is a military-inspired skin bundle launched in Valorant. The Bundle includes skins for Phantom, Ghost, Spectre, and Guardian. The much-awaited Butterfly Knife also comes included in the package.

Way early on in VALORANT’s development, we experimented around with having attachments similar to what you might see in a more mil-sim or grounded shooter. While the idea of attachments for gameplay purposes didn’t make its way through to the final game, there has always been a select few on the team who really loved the look of grounded military weapons that were kitted out with various attachments. Recon is our attempt to capture that fantasy of being in a more traditional modern shooter, having a gun that feels more representative of something you might see in modern combat.”

2. Butterfly Knife/ Recon Balisong as Part of the Recon Bundle in Valorant
CS-GO players are well versed with the hype revolving around the Butterfly known. However, with many players now shifting from CS-GO to Valorant the hype was expected to follow. All thanks to Riot and the art team for actively listening to the community and catering to their needs. We finally have a butterfly knife as part of the Recon Bundle in Valorant.
Hopefully, The knife will fulfill all the expectations of the players. Also to mention, we get to see the signature butterfly animation thus leading to its name. The knife is upgradable to the second level with custom animation.
The Butterfly knife has three upgradable color options:
- Red Camouflage
- Blue Camouflage
- Green Camouflage
3. Recon Bundle Color Variants in Valorant
To sum up, the Recon Bundle comes up with a total of three color variants. Color options include Red Camouflage, Blue Camouflage, and Green Camouflage.
Moreover, the weapons in the bundle go up to a maximum of 4 Levels. Also, the bundle also allows players to add random attachments to their guns at levels 2-3. However, the attachments won’t affect gameplay.
4. Price of Recon Bundle in Valorant
The Recon bundle will be among the Premium Edition skin tier in the game and will cost 7,100 VP to players in Valorant. Furthermore, Individual Gun prices can be assumed to be somewhere around 1,775 VP each. However, the butterfly knife is expected to cost at a premium price.
Overall, the bundle is worth the money. However, In the end, it all comes down to an individual’s preference. Considering the inclusion of the butterfly knife, the sale of the bundle will definitely fly high.
5. Release Date of Recon Bundle in Valorant
The bundle will go live with Patch 3.04 today on 24 Aug 2021. However, the Sakura Collection is still scheduled to be in the store for one more day.

Valorant is a 5v5 character-based FPS shooter title published by Riot Games for Windows, that has been constantly giving neck-to-neck competition to already well-established CS-GO.
