Pokemon Go Trading Not Working | Trading Button Disabled

Trading in Pokemon Go is quite important in the game. It lets players get those Pokemon which they are not able to find and complete their long-lasting Pokedex. You need to be at least on level 10 in order to trade Pokemon with your friends. But right now Pokemon Go Trading is not working. Niantic has disabled the trading button in Pokemon Go over a glitch issue.

Why is Pokemon Go Trading Not Working

The shortest answer is the reason is still unknown for Pokemon Go Trading not working. On 20 January 2022 Niantic stated via Twitter that they are disabling the trading button. The issue they are facing is if any player trades a Pokemon they get a lucky Pokemon, no matter how many times they trade in a day every time they will get a lucky Pokemon. A lot of players get hundreds of lucky Pokemon while trading and lucky Pokemon are the rarest in Pokemon Go. That’s why they disabled the trading button in Pokemon Go.

A lot of players have been frustrated because of this issue.

This is really unacceptable for us to be denied the chance to trade during the event when we get a guaranteed XL with each trade. There better be serious compensation for the 100 XL candies I’m losing (per day in case this takes longer than one day to resolve).

Frustrated Pokemon Go Player

Hopefully, this issue will be resolved as soon as possible by Niantic.
