Pokemon Go Special Weekend in May with Verizon, 7-Eleven Mexico, and Yoshinoya

Pokemon Go will host a Special Weekend Event in May with partners around the world. There are three partners with them for this event: Firstly, Verizon, is a US wireless network operator. Secondly, 7-Eleven Mexico, is a company from Mexico, as evident from its name. At last, Yoshinoya is a fast-food chain company from Japan. With all these partners around the world, Pokemon Go will host a Weekend event in May.

Pokemon Go Special Weekend Event is an in-game event that you can play using an event ticket. You can play this event globally; just like Pokemon Go Fest 2021, you just have to buy a ticket and redeem it on an Offer Redemption website of Pokemon Go, and you can play this event anywhere around the world. 

1. Date and Time of the Event

Pokemon Go Special Weekend Event 2021 will start on Saturday, May 29, from 12:00 A.M. to Sunday, May 30, 11:59 P.M. in your local time zone. One week after may community day. 

2. Feature of the Special Weekend Event (On Saturday, May 29)

Note:- Only for those players who’ll buy an event ticket

The event starts on Saturday, May 29, from 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. local time. The event begins with featuring Pokemon like Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Eevee, Marill, Sableye, Stunky, Spritzee, and Swirlix. These will be attracted towards incense. If you are lucky, you may encounter shiny Eevee and other shiny pokemon in-game. Still, the chance of encounter shiny Evee will be more as compare to others.

Furthermore, your incense will also attract different type of Unown in different regions of world like:-

  • Verizon:- Attracts Unown V
  • 7- Eleven Mexico:- Attracts Unown S
  • Yoshinoya:- Attracts Unown Y

There will be no shiny Unown in this event which is a bit sad news. 

3. Feature of the Special Weekend Event (On Saturday, May 29 to Sunday, May 30)

Note:- Only for those players who’ll buy an event ticket.

The next feature of the event starts from Saturday, May 29, from 12:00 A.M. to Sunday, May 30, 11:59 p.m. local time. At the time of the event, it will feature some Event-exclusive Timed Research. Completing this research will make you encounter Eevee, Spritzee, Swirlix, and Deino and also reward you with XP, Stardust, Incense, a Star Piece, a Lucky Egg, Spritzee Candy, and Swirlix Candy.

Also, there will be more chances to get lucky pokemon and becoming lucky friends while trading with friends during the event period. Only for those trainers who’ll buy an event ticket.

Catching pokemon during the event period rewards you with double XP. Niantic also said that you will get an exclusive medal when you redeem the ticket code on the Offer Redemption website.

4. Features Available for all Trainers

Note:- Without a Special Weekend Event ticket.

From Friday, May 28, 10:00 a.m. to Monday, May 31, 10:00 a.m. the number of gifts you can open in a day will double, and the trading distance will increase to 40 KM. 

These bonuses will be available for all trainers around the world whether they buy a ticket or not. 

5. Where Can You Buy a Ticket for the Event?

You can buy the ticket from tomorrow, Wednesday, May 12, on their partners’ website.

  • Yoshinoya

After buying the ticket, just go to their Offer Redemption website and redeem your ticket. And wait for May 29 to play the Special Weekend Event.
