As the Season of Discovery comes to an end. Pokemon Go will be coming with a lot of exciting new events. Pokemon Go is all set to increase your excitement levels for the month of September. From September 1, events will start, and they will cover the whole month with events, raids, bonuses, a new legendary Pokemon and many more. Let’s talk about all the events of September in Pokemon Go and what’s new coming in September.
1. Upcoming September Events in Pokemon Go
I. Season of Mischief
After the Season of Discovery ends, Pokemon Go is coming up with a new season called Season of Mischief. Season of Mischief will feature Hoopa. Season of Mischief will start on Wednesday, September 1st, at 10:00 A.M. to Wednesday December 1st, at 10:00 A.M.
There will be a special research story also available, on completing the research story it will let you encounter Hoopa. Moreover, there will be a one day event on September 5 featuring various Pokemon around the world. Read the full announcement here.
II. Psychic Spectacular
From Wednesday, September 8, at 10:00 A.M. to Monday, September 13, at 8:00 P.M. in your local time Psychic-type Pokemon will be coming back in Pokemon Go. Moreover, there will be a new Pokemon making its Pokemon Go debut Niantic didn’t reveal the name of the Pokemon but they give us the hint of the new Pokemon,

III. Fashion Week
From Tuesday, September 21, at 10:00 A.M. to Tuesday, September 28, at 8:00 P.M. in your local time. New stylish dressed Pokemon will be making its Pokemon Go debuts. Pokemon Go also says there will be fluffy and fashionable friend coming to this event. New avatar items are also coming to in-game shop.
IV. New Evolution Preview Feature
This feature lets you see the Post-Evolution CP of the Pokemon you wish to evolve. On the screen you will be able to see the 3 things, Current Pokemon and Evolved Pokemon. Current CP of the Pokemon and Post Evolution CP of the Pokemon. In which leagues you will be able to use that Pokemon after the Evolution. No official dates have been released for when this feature will go live but Ninactic say it will be coming in September.
2. Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour in September
Pokemon Spotlight Hour will take place every Tuesday of the week. It will start from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M every Tuesday. There will be a total of 4 Spotlight Hours in September. Every Tuesday will feature different Pokemon with a different special bonus.
I. First Spotlight Hour (September 7, 2021)
It will feature Spoink, a psychic-type Pokemon. During this Spotlight Hour, you will earn twice the stardust on catching Pokemon.
II. Second Spotlight Hour (September 14, 2021)
It will feature Baltoy, a psychic-type Pokemon. During this Spotlight Hour, you will earn twice the XP for catching Pokemon.
III. Third Spotlight Hour (September 21, 2021)
It will feature Skitty, a normal-type Pokemon. During this Spotlight Hour, you will earn twice the candy for catching Pokemon.
IV. The Fourth Spotlight Hour (September 28, 2021)
It will feature Alolan Meowth, a normal-type Pokemon. During this Spotlight Hour, you will earn twice the candy for transferring Pokemon to Professor Oak.
3. Pokemon Feature in 5-star Raids
- Lugia will appear in 5-star raids in Pokemon Go with Aeroblast attack. From Wednesday, September 1, at 10:00 A.M. to Tuesday, September 14 at 10:00 A.M. in your local time. If you are lucky you might encounter a shiny Lugia.
- Regional Legendary Pokemon are also coming back in Pokemon Go. Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf will be in the 5-star raids starting from Tuesday, September 14, at 10:00 A.M. to Friday, October 1, at 10:00 A.M. Uxie will appear in Asia-Pacific region, Mesprit will appear in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Indian Region, and Azelf will appear in Americas and Greenland Region. If you are lucky you might encounter the shiny also.
Note:- Every Wednesday of the month, there will be a Raid Hour from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., just like Spotlight Hour. It will feature Pokemon who are appearing in 5-star raids in that particular week. During this Raid Hour, you will gain extra XP for defeating the boss.
4. Pokemon Feature in Mega Raids
- Mega Slowbro will appear in Mega Raids from Wednesday, September 1, at 10:00 A.M. to Tuesday, September 14 at 10:00 A.M. in your local time.
- Mega Houndoom will appear in Mega Raids, from Tuesday, September 14, at 10:00 A.M. to Friday, October 1, at 10:00 A.M. in your local time.
5. September Research Breakthrough Encounter
On completing this September Research Breakthrough every 7th day, you will encounter Ditto.
From Wednesday, September 1, at 10:00 A.M. to Friday, October 1, at 10:00 A.M. in your local time. During the whole month, you will be able to catch Ditto. If you are lucky you might encounter shiny Ditto.
6. September Community Day
As you all know, Niantic already told us about the pokemon that is going to appear on Septembert Community day, which is “Oshawott ”. To know more about September Community day, Click Here.
7. One Pokecoin Bundles
Every Monday in September you will get a chance to buy a one time bundle for just 1 Pokecoin. Bundle also contains a remote raid pass.
