Indian company Lava is soon going to introduce its True Wireless Stereo(TWS) in India. Previous reports by The Mobile Indian suggested that the Indian handset company will launch earphones under Rs 2,000 soon. Now the Lava Wireless Earphones have been spotted on the Indian BIS certification website by the tipster Mukul Sharma.
Four Earphones with model numbers T003B, T002B, T001B, and A801 have been listed on the Indian BIS website today. The launch of the wireless earphones is imminent and will compete with other TWS in the market.
In the Indian market, the smartphone accessories sector has grown at a rapid pace. Numerous smartphone manufacturers like Realme and Xiaomi concentrate on producing more accessories like earphones, speakers, and more. Moreover, according to the Counterpoint reports, the Indian TWS market has shown a growth of 700% in 2019.
In the meanwhile, Lava is planning to invest Rs. 800 crore in India over the next five years. Furthermore, the company intends to relocate its production facilities from China to India, following the government’s announcement of new laws for handset manufacturers. Talking about this, Hari Om Rai, International Chairman and Managing Director of Lava, said,
“We had around 600-650 employees in China for product design. Now we have shifted designing to India. Our sales requirements for India were met from our local plant,”
To generate more employment by 2025 in India, the government has recently announced the Rs. 4,000 crore investment in the electronic and manufacturing sector. In addition, the government has set tariffs of 4 to 6% on items manufactured in India.
