2. How to Obtain Smoldering Ember in God of War PC/2018

So, obtaining Smoldering Ember in God of War PC you need to complete the set of six trials. You need to go to Muspelheim. Muspelheim is a realm where you can travel during the main story. You need to talk to the Witch two different times and complete the Cave puzzle to enter Muspelheim.

#1 Arena: Defeat 15 Enemies within 3 Minutes

In the first arena challenge, you need to defeat 15 enemies within three minutes. You can easily defeat the enemies in the first arena; they are not much challenging unless and until you are playing on Chaos Mode(Most Difficult Mode in God of War). 

#2 Arena: Survive For 5 Minutes 

In the second arena, you just need to survive for at least 5 Minutes. You can even complete the arena while enemies regenerate health, giving you additional benefits such as more Smoldering Ember. 

#3 Arena: Defeat Grunt Enemies To Break The Shield And Defeat Enemies Inside the Gold Rings

In the third arena, you just need to defeat the grunt enemies to break the shield in the first challenge. Moreover, you have to defeat the enemies inside the gold rings. You need to time your attack perfectly when the enemies are inside the gold ring or else you missed it. 

#4 Arena: Defeat 100 Enemies and Don’t Allow Grunts To Grab Atreus Three Times

In the fourth arena, you need to defeat 100 enemies while preventing grunt enemies from grabbing Atreus. If Grunt grabs Atreus 3 times, the challenge will be over. Furthermore, if you want bonus rewards you have to prevent grunt from grabbing Atreus more than twice only then you will get bonus rewards. Extra reward includes Smoldering Ember.

Pro Tips: Keep your eye on Atreus when grunts come to grab Atreus then only kill them. Don’t go far from Atreus. 

#5 Arena: Gain Time by Defeating Enemies and Dodge 20 Enemies Attack

In the fifth arena, you need to defeat enemies to gain time in the first challenge. For the second challenge, you need to dodge 20 enemies attack throughout the round. It’s quite difficult to dodge 20 enemies attack, don’t lose hope it will take some tries to complete this arena. 

Pro Tips: While doing the second challenge don’t directly take the fight with enemies, keep your distance from enemies.

#6 Arena: Defeat The Valkyrie Gondul Boss

For the sixth and the final arena, you need to defeat the Valkyrie Gondul Boss. Fighting the Valkyrie Gondul Boss is tough. We suggest you dodge the fire attacks. Fire attacks will leave an effect on the ground if you stand on them it will deal damage so avoid them also. Also, you need to dodge the Valkyrie Gondul’s dash attack by rolling around. 

3. How to Use Smoldering Ember in God of War PC/2018

Once you obtain the Smoldering Ember, you can use it to upgrade your gears. You can upgrade your weapons and armor on the workbench. You will find the workbench near Sindri and Brok. Once you are at the workbench you can upgrade all your gears by using Smoldering Ember.
