However, it would be best if you broke the barrier surrounded the Mikage Furnace. Also, you have to unlock the Shakkei Pavilion to accept six additional quests from Xavier. Unfortunately, you can only accept and complete one quest per day from Xavier. Also, it will take a week to complete it. Well, on the fifth day of the Tatara tales questline in Genshin Impact, you’ll get the task to obtain 3 Onikabuto bugs and delivering them to Xavier.
Most of the quests are easy, which Xavier presents, but some are a bit confusing. So, don’t worry. We’ll give you a hand and help you get Onikabuto bugs to complete the Functional Test world quest in Genshin Impact.
What is Onikabuto
Onikabutos are strange beetles of Inazuma that are found relaxing on trees. They live in locations where there is a lot of electro energy. These bugs are peaceful and lazy in nature. Moreover, they have horns that could generate electricity to fight predators and evolved odd patterns to frighten trespassers.
Find Onikabuto in Genshin Impact
To start the quest, you need to teleport yourself to the waypoint in the north of Tatarasuna and glide down to Xavier’s location. Now, interact with Xavier, and he’ll tell you that he needs 3 Onikabuto bugs due to their electric conductive properties. Also, he’ll tell you that you can find it in areas with large reserves of electrical energy.
Note: You will not get any waypoint to find Onikabuto bugs.
However, you’ll find Onikabuto bugs nearby and they can be easily obtained. So let’s start searching Onikabuto bugs nearby Xavier’s location.
- First, teleport yourself to the waypoint nearest to Xavier’s location where you’ll find an Electrogranum plant.
- Activate it and use it to glide to the upper regions of the Tatarasuna plateau.
- After reaching at the top, you need to move towards east.
- Finally, you’ll see a tree in front of you having several Lavender Melons and two Onikabuto bugs.
- Moreover, the third bug is on a tree to the left of the Lavender Melon tree.
Eventually, you have all the Onikabuto bugs. So, you need to come back to Xavier and submit all 3 Onikabuto bugs to complete that Functional Test world quest. After completing the quest, you’ll get 20 Primogems, 25,000 Mora, and 150 Adventure XP in rewards.
Note: Currently, there is no further use of Onikabuto bugs other than for Xavier’s quest. It may be useful in Genshin Impact’s 2.1 update, which is set to release in early September.
