How To Play Co-Op Multiplayer in Far Cry 6

The sixth installment of Far Cry is now available on respective platforms. The game is always fun to play both solo or multiplayer. The series has always emphasized allowing you the opportunity to play the game in your unique way. When playing alongside a friend or family member, though, Far Cry 6 may be a whole different experience. Ubisoft has introduced co-op mode in several latest games like Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. Although you must have a copy of the game, there is no timed Friend Pass option.

How To Activate Co-Op Multiplayer In Far Cry 6

At the start of the game, you can’t jump right into a co-op session. However, you are supposed to work on your way through the game’s tutorial until you accomplish the “Du or Die” quest in Far Cry 6. Ubisoft’s smart decision helps both you and your friend get familiar with the game’s mechanics at this stage. Fortunately, the procedure is simple and should take no more than two hours to complete.

Once you have completed the “Du or Die” quest, then you’ll get a pop-up on the right-hand side. The pop-up notification will indicate that you can now join or invite another player to take on the game.

However, there are 3 options to play Far Cry 6 using Co-Op Multiplayer mode:

• Play With a Friend – To invite a friend or family member to play the main campaign.
• Search For a Partner – Find any random player to play the main campaign.
• Be A Partner – To join another player’s campaign and fight together.

Note: Only the host player’s game will save your progress.

Also, you and your partner will earn Moneda, a special currency that can only be obtained through cooperative play and used on the Black Market.

Special Operations Missions in Far Cry 6

Alternatively, you can take missions and earn rewards cooperatively for the Special Operations missions in Far Cry 6. However, you’ll have to travel to any of the main Guerrilla Camps to get access to the missions.

Main Guerrilla Camps are:

• Montero Farm in Madrugada
• Camp Maximas in Valle de Oro 
• Patriots Peak in El Este

Now, you’ll interact with Lola in one of the camps and select the mission of your choice. When it comes to completing these missions, you have 3 options to accomplish the missions using the Co-Op Multiplayer feature in Far Cry 6.

Also, Far Cry 6’s co-op feature is limited to two players, with no opportunity to play locally.
