FIFA 21 is the new instalment of EA’s long-running soccer franchise and will be available on EA Play, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and Xbox Game Pass for PC subscribers next week.
Exclusive FIFA 21 content will be available to owners of EA Play, including in-game challenges and rewards, Volta Football apparel, FIFA Ultimate Team jerseys, and a seasonal XP boost at the start of each FUT season.
From May, EA Play’s subscribers will also get a Volta Squad Boost featuring Groundbreaker Trent Alexander-Arnold and the Liverpool FC Apparel Collection, as well as 3,500 Volta coins.

The FIFA series is hugely successful, though maybe more so in Europe than in North America. So, it could be a significant addition for EA Play subscribers and highly profitable for Electronic Arts.

Making the base game free would increase the FUT audience considerably. Still, it will also cause new problems for the publisher. A recent CBC article based on leaked documents revealed that EA wants to “funnel” FIFA players into FUT sparked considerable controversy.
In March, EA Play added a basic tier to Xbox Game Pass for PC at no additional cost and making it a great deal for gamers who don’t care about their ownership.
