Here is the best way you can defeat one of the bosses, Crystalian in Elden Ring. Who are Crystalians in Elden Ring? What are the different attacks of Crystalians? How to defeat Crystalians? And what are the rewards for defeating Crystalians in Elden Ring? Let’s find out the answers to all these questions –
1. Who are Crystalians in Elden Ring?
Crystalians are optional bosses located throughout the open world of Elden Ring.
The Crystalian actually takes the form of two bosses that you’ll need to face off against at once, no matter where you fight them in Elden Ring.
Crystalian is a recurring boss. Crystalian is a humanoid being made of pure crystals that nests deep in the dungeons across the land. Often, they don’t nest alone. Three of the four Crystalian boss fights in Elden Ring are multiple enemy encounters.
We advise you to take on the solo boss at Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel first, as it’s the easiest of the fights and it drops arguably the most important item of the bunch. These items will allow you to buy the first two levels of Smithing Stone at Roundtable Hold. You will face the first two Crystalian encounters in Liurnia of the Lakes.
2. What are the Different Attacks of Crystalian in Elden Ring?
The attacks of Crystalians are generally classified into three categories.
- Crystalian’s Ringblade Attacks
- Crystalian’s Spare Attacks
- The Staff Attacks
I. Crystalian’s Ringblade Attacks
The Ringblade Crystalian appears in each of the four encounters but is the most harmless. They only have three moves. The moves are a horizontal frisbee-type toss, an underhanded, bowling-ball-type toss, and the Crystalian’s spinning attack.
The Crystalian’s spinning attack is the major attack that you should avoid to survive the battle. The spinning attack is a tornado of devastation where the boss spins forward in a move that can make the most of the way across the room.
II. Crystalian’s Spare Attacks
The Crystalian encounters at Academy Crystal Cave and Altus Tunnel, consist of one ring blade version accompanied by one attacking with a spear. The spear Crystalian will chase after you, and once you get caught in close enough range of its strike, the foe is fast enough to take your max health off. This is a basic move, and a power move is something that follows very occasionally. The best strategy for these multi-boss attacks is to lure the Spear version away from the others.
III. Crystalian’s Staff Attacks
The most difficult Crystalian fight consists of both of the previous variations along with this new one. This Crystalian will do a few moves, all variations on tossing magic shards your way. The final move the Staff Crystalian will make use of is an umbrella of shards raining down, protecting it from close-range attacks. You should dodge away from this attack to survive.
3. How to Defeat Crystalian in Elden Ring?
Generally, with many bosses in Elden Ring, using Summon Spirits to distract their attention while you hit them hard from behind can be a handy strategy. And as Crystalian usually has low poise, so can be easy to stagger.
Try to get hits from behind, backstabs especially, and break its armor. With the armor broken, you can really devastate Crystalian and do massive damage. If you’re a spellcaster then hit it with as many spells as possible, like Glintstone Pebble, until it’s staggered, then use your opportunity to strike hard.
You may come against two Crystalians at once in some circumstances, but these enemies are slow and shouldn’t prove too much of a threat; you can easily divide their attention using Spirit Ashes.
4. What are the Rewards for Defeating Crystalian in Elden Ring?
Out of four Crystalians, two of them will drop sorcery spells, and the rest two will drop Bell bearings. The rewards are for defeating Crystalians at a specific location –
- Defeating the Academy Crystal Cave Crystalians will reward you with 3,300 Runes and the Crystal Release Sorcery
