Carbon Ingot Locations in Rygjafylke AC Valhalla

What is a Carbon Ingot in Rygjafylke?

Carbon Ingots are used to improve any item from Fine to Superior. You will be able to plug additional runes into your weapons and armor after upgrading, and you will be able to improve each piece of gear further to boost its defensive or devastating characteristics. To stay up with your foes as they level, you’ll need to improve.

You can only spend Carbon Ingots with Gunnar in the Ravensthorpe settlement’s Blacksmith — be sure to visit him often to get a good start in the game.

Carbon Ingot Locations in Rygjafylke

There are over 13 Carbon Ingot locations in Rygjafylke. We divided them into regions depending on the nearest town or designated area (approximately).

1 – CARBON INGOT (HOETTSTRAND)

Look for a militia-controlled dockyard(?) named Hoettstrand (“hot beach”) on the west side of the westernmost island. To get to the rocky spire, use the floating debris. You can climb on rock but not on ice, so just make your way around the spire until you reach this chest and Carbon Ingot.

(There are also two submerged boxes with ore and leather here.) To get to the eastern one, you’ll have to fire an arrow through some ice.)

2 – CARBON INGOT (AVALDSNES)

Use Odin’s Sight to discover the structure with shields along the eaves on the south side of Avaldsnes, still within the walls (palisades, actually). Climb through the window in the rear to loot this chest for a Carbon Ingot.

3 – CARBON INGOT (HEILLBOER)

Look for a Secret Entrance on the north side of Heillboer (“whole farmer”) – it’ll be a tunnel-and-stairs symbol on your map. Follow the tunnel and remove the enormous stone from your path. Loot a couple of chests in the room and take this Carbon Ingot.

4 – CARBON INGOT (KJOTVE’S FORTRESS)

Look for a tiny outpost in the valley north of Kjotve’s Fortress. Climb the wooden tower’s exterior, then use the ladders to reach the bottom and loot the chest for this Carbon Ingot.

5 – CARBON INGOT (KJOTVE’S FORTRESS)

Look for an A-frame home on the south side of Kjotve’s Fortress. Right over the rear entrance, there’s a destructible wattle wall (the intertwined sticks, not a chicken hairstyle). Shoot an arrow through the wall to tear it down, then crawl inside to loot a chest containing this Carbon Ingot.

6 – CARBON INGOT (HYVLATONNA)

Hyvlatonna (“woodworker’s plane’s teeth” — named after a BASE jumping tourist attraction) is a camp high above the fjord south of Kjotve’s Fortress. Loot the corpse of the berserker in the stone circle for this Carbon Ingot.

7 – CARBON INGOT (HYVLATONNA)

There are additional nasty people in another camp southwest of Hyvlatonna, high up along the west wall of the fjord leading to Kjotve’s Fortress. Look for a tiny crevice/tunnel heading back into the rock face. It’s quite difficult to notice, so try utilizing your Odin’s Sight and your bird to scout it out. Use Odin’s Sight to climb to the same vertical level as the Wealth, and keep an eye out for the tunnel as you approach closer. Smash your way through the wooden walls until you find a chest containing a Carbon Ingot.

8 – CARBON INGOT (FANNARAKI SUMMIT)

Continue west down the coast from Fannaraki (“snowy mountain”) Summit until you come upon a shipwreck in a rocky bay. Dive into the water and swim down swiftly. To get this Carbon Ingot, you must smash your way inside the wreckage.

9 – CARBON INGOT (HAERVIK SHIPYARD)

The well-guarded Haervik (“army bay”) Shipyard is located just west of the Deserted Chalet. Look for the War Band Chief within. Take a Carbon Ingot from their body.

10 – CARBON INGOT (STRAVANGER)

Watch for a Secret Entrance (tunnel and stairs) symbol just northeast of this ingot when you approach Stravanger (something like “branch-shaped bay”). Locate the tunnel, which is hidden under a home with a large yellow X painted on the front. Remove the rock-filled bookshelf from the way and fire the pulley that is keeping the large stone block in place. To get this Carbon Ingot, go to the end of the tunnel.

11 – CARBON INGOT (STRAVANGER)

Look locate the home amid the restricted area southwest of Stravanger. To get this Carbon Ingot, shoot through the wattle on the roof and crawl inside.

12 – CARBON INGOT (EIKUNDARSUND)

A militia station named Eikundarsund (“oak strait”) is located south of Stravanger. In the northeast, look for the wooden tower with the Arrow-Horde stationed within. Assassinate them and take the Carbon Ingot from their corpse.

13 – CARBON INGOT (FORNBURG)

Look for a lone cottage in the mountains west of Fornburg, sort of in the middle of nowhere. You’ll have to “go through flames” to retrieve the Carbon Ingot here, according to a letter within.

On the prize side of the cabin, behind the stone-filled bookshelves, there are several oil pots. Light an arrow with the fire in the hearth and shoot it over the wall to the treasure site. Try moving the stones again after hearing a few explosions. Loot the chest for this Carbon Ingot as you go inside.
