Krafton, the developer of the popular battle royal game PUBG Mobile, announced the Battlegrounds Mobile India today. The game is launched as an India-exclusive version of the game PUBG mobile. The official website for the game has gone live in India today, which says “Coming Soon”, indicating that it will be released in India soon. The game’s developer has also announced the privacy policy for Battlegrounds Mobile India and has also set some restrictions for players under 18 years.
Battlegrounds Mobile India Rules for minors
The pre-registration will start soon in India. But, the company has now set some restrictions for players under 18 years on playing Battlegrounds Mobile India. Here are the rules for playing the game if you are under 18 :
I. Parental Consent
According to the privacy policy of Battlegrounds Mobile India, players under 18 years of will have to provide the mobile number of parents and guardians as a parent consent to play the game.
No details have been provided by the developer about how the verification work will be done. They might send SMS for confirmation to the parent’s mobile number. However, this will not be the right way, as most minors have their own mobile phone. Through which they can easily fool the game developer.
II. In-app Purchase limit
The Privacy Policy also resolves the issue of parents complaining about the misuse of money by their children for in-app purchases in the game up to a certain level.
According to the game developer, players under 18 will not be allowed to spend more than Rs 7,000 per day on in-app purchases in Battlegrounds Mobile India.
III. Limited playing time
The Battlegrounds Mobile India will not allow players under 18 years to play more than 3 hours a day. The developer has taken the right step, keeping in mind the previous complaints and incidents of children spending the whole day on the game. This restriction will be a huge sigh of relief for the parents worried about the game’s launch.
As of now, there has been no information about the game modes and maps. But, we can expect the same modes as the PUBG Mobile offered.
