NieR Automata has excited its fans yet again by revealing a secret area in the game. This new element is the craziest so far and this is why you should know everything about it. While no other player has been able to find it except one, who knows you might be the next one.

NieR Secret Area: Discovery
A NieR Automata player discovered this secret area while playing the game and no one else has been able to do the same so far. As per Video Game Chronicles, the discovery began over a month ago when a Reddit user called sadfutago asked why he was able to access the church and his friends could not.
No such area existed in the game thereby, confusing other fans. Later, Lnce McDonald, a prominent modder, posted an entire video of this ‘expedition’ into the unknown on Twitter:

The video shared by Lance McDonald shows a player entering a room in the Copied City. This area is popular for its Bavarian architecture and absence of color. Nobody is really sure about its location and that is the fun part of it. We only know that this place is somewhere in the Copied City but no one has any idea of how to access it
Secret Area: Description
The video posted to the NieR subreddit account by sadfutago begins with a combat encounter in the Copied City. The player, A2, moves towards a non-descript white wall on the edge of the arena and a prompt lets them open a secret door.
Inside this door, there is a ladder that leads you to a long square shaft with some cupolas. These disappear when A2 lands and they then open a large double-door, leading to a twisting hallway.
Does the Secret Area Exist?
This turns out to be some coincidence because the developer has said 18 months ago that the ‘final’ secret has already been discovered. However, it might be possible that this is some yet-to-be launched area in NieR Automata which was discovered before time.
Verdict
This comes out as a surprise to me and I am actually very excited about it. There is a lot of curiosity in the minds of the players regarding this secret area in NieR Automata. Modders are still trying to work this mystery out but, it could also be a promotion tactic by the developers.
