Ubisoft is back with a new game from their biggest game franchise Assassin’s Creed. Ubisoft unveiled everything about the Assassin’s Creed Mirage on the 10th of September with their Ubisoft Forward event. In this game, we will see the return of Basim Ibn Ishaq as the Master Assassin.
For a long time, there were rumors from leaks that the game will be titled Assassin’s Creed Rift, but now the franchise has officially declared the title of the game, Assassin’s Creed Mirage. The franchise also says that with this game, they’re going back to the roots of the Assassin’s Creed series. 1. Everything We Know About Assassin’s Creed Mirage
I. Release Date
Ubisoft is planning to release Assassin’s Creed Mirage really soon. During the Ubisoft Forward Event, the game franchise said that they’ve planned the game’s release date in 2023. Some of the leaks from YouTuber j0nathan also said that the game will release in Spring 2023 around April-May. This was even confirmed by Jason Schreier of Bloomberg. There were many other leaks which just got confirmed with the game announcement.
II. Assassin’s Creed Mirage Leaks
Assassin’s Creed Mirage, previously known as Assassin’s Creed Rift according to the leaks. There were many leaks regarding the game which were all true. These leaks were given by a YouTuber named j0nathan and these leaks were also confirmed by Jason Schreier of Bloomberg.
There were rumors that the new game from the franchise will feature the return of Basim Ibn Ishaq. There was also a discussion of a DLC called “The Forty Thieves Quest” which has now been confirmed by the Ubisoft as a pre-order benefit. He also said that the game will go back to its basics, which is again correct and announced by the franchise. According to the leaks, the release date for the game is Spring 2023, as of now the franchise did not mention a specific date, but they confirmed that the game will come in 2023.
III. Storyline
The storyline for the game will feature the return of Bisam. The game will take place in Baghdad around 860-870 AD in the Anarchy of Samarra. According to the leaks Basim will start as a thief before he joins the Hidden Ones and explore other several cities. Another thing this game will cover is the the aspect of Loki taking over the body and mind of Basim
The game will go back to its roots and will focus more on stealth and action adventure, and will focus less open world RPG compared to AC Valhalla. The leaked description of the game is:

The map for Baghdad in-game is going to be smaller compared to maps for AC Valhalla, Odyssey, and Origins, as their main focus in-game would be on the storyline and less on the Open-World side of the game. The map of Baghdad will be divided into four parts in-game.
IV. Assassin’s Creed Mirage Editions
When the game will launch, there will be three editions for the game:
- The Standard Edition: This edition will cost $50/€50, and will only have the game and no additional content.
- The Deluxe Edition: This edition will cost around $60/€60, and will have a DLC inspired by Prince of Persia.
- The Limited Collector’s Case: This edition will cost $150/€150, and will have a 32cm Basim figurine, a map of Baghdad, an exclusive steel book, and more.

V. Platforms
Ubisoft has confirmed that the game will come out in 2023, but they are yet to have a specific date. The franchise has declared that the game will be available on PlayStation 4, Next-Gen Consoles PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One. Ubisoft also confirmed that the game will be available for PC through the Ubisoft Store or through Epic Games.
