Pokemon Go is going to make your next month (April) more exciting as they are going to bring all new events, new raids, bonuses, and many more. The event is going to start From April 1, and will cover the whole month. Let’s talk about all events of April in Pokemon Go and what’s new coming in April.
1. Upcoming New Events in April
i. Team Go Rocket Timed Research (Save Zapdos From Giovanni)
The First event is Save Zapdos from Giovanni it will start from April 1 and last till April 8. You have to battle Giovanni and defeat him to encounter Shadow Zapdos. To battle Giovanni, you first have to earn Super Rocket Radar. You can obtain this radar by completing the previous Team Go Rocket Special Research “The Higher They Fly….”.
If you already use this radar, don’t worry; in the first week of April, you will get Super Rocket Radar by completing the Team Go Timed Research.
ii. Spring Into Spring Event
The second event will feature Spring theme Pokemon’s. From April 4 to April 8 Spring themed event. You will encounter Chansey, Blissey, Happiny wearing a flower crown in this event. And also egg-themed surprises you will get to know when the event starts.
iii. Rival’s Week
So, the third event is the “Rival Week Event.” It is from April 13 to April 18. In this Rival’s Week event, Pokemon who are Rivals will be featured. Some new Pokemon are going to make their debut.
iv. Sustainability Week
The fourth Event is the “Sustainability Week Event”, featuring Sustainability-themed Pokemon like Grime and Trubbish. It is from April 20 to April 25. Grime and Trubbish and many more Pokemon will be appearing in the wild more frequently.
v. Friendship Day
At last, celebrate Friendship Day with the brand new event on April 24.
2. Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour in April
Pokemon Spotlight Hour will take place every Tuesday of the week. It is from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M every Tuesday. There will 4 Spotlight Hour in April. Every Tuesday will feature different Pokemon with a different special bonus.
i. First Spotlight Hour
It will feature Buneray, a Normal-type Pokemon. During this Spotlight Hour, you will earn twice candy on transferring Pokemon to Professor Oak.
ii. Second Spotlight Hour
It will feature Mankey, a Fighting-type Pokemon. During this Spotlight Hour, you will earn twice XP for evolving Pokemon.
iii. Third Spotlight Hour
It will feature Grimer, a Poison-type Pokemon. During this Spotlight Hour, you will earn twice stardust for catching Pokemon.
iv. The Fourth Spotlight Hour
It will feature Finneon, a Water-type Pokemon. During this Spotlight Hour, you will earn twice XP for catching Pokemon.
3. Pokemon feature in 5-star Raids
- First Pokemon in the raids, from March 30 at 10:00 A.M. to April 13 at 10:00 A.M., Therian Frome Tornadus will debut Pokemon Go in 5-star raids.
- The second Pokemon in the raids will be Therian Forme Landorus, and it is also making its debut in Pokemon Go in 5-star raids. From April 13 at 10:00 A.M. to April 27 at 10:00 A.M.
- Incarnate Forme Tornadus, Incarnate Forme Thundurus, and Incarnate Forme Landorus will be coming in 5-star raids on April 27 at 10:00 A.M.
Note:- If you are lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Tornadus, Thundurus or Landorus.
4. Pokemon feature in Mega Raids
- Mega Houndoom and Mega Abomasnow will leave Mega Raids on Sunday, April 4, at 10:00 A.M.
- On April 4, Surprise Mega Pokemon will be coming in Pokemon Go Mega Raids, and it will for the rest of the month in Mega Raids.
- Mega Gengar and Mega Manectric will be coming in Mega Raids from April 5 at 10:00 A.M. to April 20 at 10:00 A.M.
- Mega Venusaur and Mega Abomasnow will be coming in Mega Raids from April 20 at 10:00 A.M.
Note:- Every Wednesday of the month, there will be a Raid Hour from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., just like Spotlight Hour. It will feature Pokemon who are appearing in 5-star raids in that particular week. During this Raid Hour, you will gain extra XP for defeating the boss.
5. April Research Breakthrough Encounter
On completing this April Research Breakthrough every 7th day, you will encounter male Frillish. From April 1 at 1:00 P.M. to May 1 at 1:00 P.M. during the whole month, you will be able to catch male Frillish.
6. April Community Day

7. Weekly Free Bundles
Every Monday in April, you will get a remote raid pass, and many other items will be available in-game shop for free.
