Apple, the Cupertino-based tech giant, announced the release of iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 during the California Streaming event held last week. Today, Apple is set to release iPadOS 15 and iOS 15 in India. The iOS update is made for recent models of the iPhone and the seventh-generation iPod touch. The iPhone 13 series models will also run on the upcoming iOS 15.

The list of models compatible with iOS 15 are:-

- iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max,
- iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max,
- iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, and iPhone X,
- iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus,
- iPhone 7, and iPhone 7 Plus,
- iPhone 6S, and iPhone 6S Plus,
- iPhone SE (first and second generation),
- iPod Touch (seventh generation).
How to Download & Install Apple iOS 15
Once the update is available, users can download iOS 15 on their devices by going to Settings > General > Software Update. The update will download automatically if you have already selected that option. You can also download the update by using a Mac Computer.
iOS 15 Features
The new update has introduced a spatial audio feature to amplify your FaceTime experience. It has also included a new microphone mode that can let you separate your voice from the background noise. You will also be able to see more faces at one time during Group FaceTime. With the new Focus features, you will be able to concentrate better without distractions.
With the SharePlay feature in FaceTime, you can listen to songs or watch movies and shows together with your loved ones by sharing your screen over FaceTime calls. You can invite friends through a link, enabling both Android and Windows users to join FaceTime calls. You will find a Shared with You section in the new Photos app that will feature images, links, and other content via messages. Also, the Shared with You feature is available in Safari, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and the Apple TV app.
In addition, The new update brings redesigned notifications, giving an enhanced look to icons and notifications. Photos will have a new Live Text feature. The Apple Maps is updated with more details like crosswalks and bike lanes.
