Apple launched too many things at the Spring event 2021, held on 20th April at 10:30 pm IST, including a new colourway for the iPhone, M1-powered iPad Pros, iMacs, etc. Apple’s first major launch of 2021, and while most people knew what to expect from the iPhone manufacturer, Apple surprised everyone.
Before we get to the part where we tell you about each new product individually, We have some bad news for iPhone users. Many who were hoping for Apple to release iOS 14.5 sooner will have to wait a little longer. The next version of iOS, iOS 14.5, is still in beta, and it is essential for the Apple ecosystem since it has stricter protection and privacy laws.
Now let’s talk about the innovations announced by Tim Cook.
New Colour of iPhone
According to Tim Cook, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini will be available in a new purple colour option, so people looking to buy these two models will have an even wider assortment.
The new Purple-colored iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini will be available for purchase on April 30 for the same price of $699 and $799(Rs 79,900 and Rs 69,900) respectively, with pre-orders beginning at 5.30 PM IST on April 23.

AirTags
Apple has finally released AirTags, a Tile-like tracker that works similarly to any other tracking device that can be found remotely using the Find My app on an iPhone. In India, a single AirTag will cost Rs 3,190, while a four-pack will cost Rs 10,900. The AirTags will be available for purchase on the Apple Store starting from April 23 at 5.30 p.m.
Note: Apple specifically stated that AirTags would not monitor people but only objects, so yes, you can use AirTags as a keychain for your belongings.
Apple TV
Tim also announced Apple TV, which makes your time more entertaining and enjoyable at home. The Apple TV has received a long-awaited update. The A12 Bionic chip is now included in the new Apple TV 4K, resulting in improved performance and the ability to play HDR videos with high frame rates. It supports Siri commands as well.

The latest Apple TV 4K will be available for Rs 18,900 ($179) for the 32GB model and Rs 20,900 ($199) for the 64GB model. There is no set a date for the launch in India.
iMac
Apple made what could be the most significant design changes to the iMac line. The new M1 chipset is also used in the new iMacs, which means that performance can improve significantly. To improve the quality of your video stream, the M1 SoC’s ISP will intelligently improve colours, shadows, noise, and dynamic range.
With a 24-inch Retina touchscreen, a new 1080p FaceTime HD camera, and a high-fidelity six-speaker setup, the iMac is smaller than ever before.
The base model of the iMac will set you back Rs 1,19,900 ($1,299) in India. Pre-orders will begin on April 30th, with shipments beginning in the mid of May.
iPad Pro
The new iPad Pro models powered by Apple’s venerable M1 chipset has finally been released. The output of the latest M1 iPad Pro models is said to be 50% better than the previous version. The second modification is Apple’s long-awaited turn to Mini LEDs.
The new Liquid Retina XDR Display on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is made up of 10,000 Mini LEDs. On the other hand, The 11-inch model has a Liquid Retina Display, the same as the iPhone XR. Both iPad Pro models feature a new 12-megapixel ultrawide camera with automatic video call monitoring.

The Wi-Fi version of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro will cost Rs 99,900 ($1099) in India. The Wi-Fi and LTE variant will cost Rs 1,13,900 ($1299).
On the other hand, The 11-inch iPad Pro will be available for Rs 71,900 ($799) and Rs 85,900 ($999) for the Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + LTE versions, respectively. The new iPad Pros will be available for purchase on April 30, but shipping will most likely begin in May.
Apple Podcasts Subscription
Apple also introduced a new Apple Podcast subscription service. During the event, Tim Cook revealed that the Apple Podcast Subscription would be available in over 170 countries and regions in May.
Users will also notice a redesigned Apple Podcasts app with iOS 14.5, an improved Search tab with easy access to Top Charts and categories.
Apple Podcast users will be able to explore channels, which are collections of shows curated by creators with exclusive names, descriptions, and artwork, starting next month.
