As per the release notes of iOS 15.3 stating “includes bug fixes and security updates for your iPhone and is recommended for all users”, there are about 10 security updates. It includes ColorSync, which leads to arbitrary code execution when a maliciously crafted file is processed. The crash Reporter bug which allowed the malicious applications to gain root privileges was fixed. iCloud bug, which allowed any application to access a user’s file was also fixed. But out of all the updates, the major bug fix is the Safari bug fix. It let the websites access the user’s databases and their information whenever working in Safari. As per the Apple report, it happened due to a bug in Webkit’s implementation of JavaScript. It also impacted Google Chrome and Firebox. Due to Apple policy, they also have to use Webkit for Apple iPhone and iPad. As this bug had impacted iPad as well, iPadOS 15.3 has also covered this bug fix.
